Ward 8

Ward 8 is responsible for the care of patients from two different specialties - the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and the Department of Cardiac Surgery.

The Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine is responsible for the treatment of children of all ages - from premature babies to adolescents - and provides the following services: general pediatrics, pediatric neurology, developmental pediatrics and neonatology, pediatric cardiology as well as trauma surgery and general surgery. The Department is also responsible for the care of infants - from delivery at our hospital to discharge. Services offered include comprehensive screening tests, hearing tests, ultrasound examinations of the hips and renal ultrasounds.

The Cardiac Surgery section of the Ward cares for young patients with disorders of the coronary arteries and heart valves, as well as young patients with pathological changes in blood vessels, including those affecting the aorta.
