Pastoral care

Being removed from our normal day-to-day life and surroundings can prompt us to ask questions and think about issues that we might not normally think about a great deal. Our Pastoral Care Team would like to offer you the opportunity to talk to us about how your stay with us is affecting you. We would like to assist you in finding sources of strength that will provide you with the necessary courage, patience and resilience to cope with this period of illness in your life.

We are here for you - if you need someone to listen, or if you need someone to talk to. We will be happy to assist you with words of support, prayers and blessings. You may of course also request to receive Holy Communion or the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Please also feel free to use "The Quiet Room", which offers a pleasant and peaceful space for quiet reflection. Every Sunday, The Quiet Room will be open for Sunday Worship. The Pastoral Care Team are available to support all of our patients, regardless of Christian denomination. If you are a member of a different denomination or faith and wish to access spiritual support, please let us know so that we may pass on your request.

You or your relatives may contact us by speaking to a member of the ward team. Psychological and pastoral care services are provided on a strictly voluntary basis. All of our staff are bound by strict confidentiality rules.
