Dr. med. Georg Fritz has been the Head of the Heart Center's Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Management since August 2006.
Following an initial four years of medical training in internal medicine and cardiology, his training in anesthesiology took him to London, Vienna and the Charité Hospital in Berlin, where he spent many years as a Senior Physician in the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. He is also a specialist in Intensive Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Pain Management.
Aside from his work in anesthesia and intensive care medicine, he also has a particular interest in transesophageal echocardiography.
