Dr. med. Georg Fritz

Dr. Georg Fritz has been the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Management since August 2006. Following an initial four years of medical training in internal medicine and cardiology, his training in anesthesiology took him to London, Vienna and the Charité Hospital in Berlin, where he spent many years as a Senior Physician in the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. Dr. Fritz regularly speaks at national and international conferences.

Martin Reiter

Having worked in the Department since 2007, Martin Reiter was promoted to the position of Senior Physician back in 2011.



After completing his medical degree at the University of Würzburg, Martin Reiter started his specialist medical training at the hospital in Berlin-Weißensee, which he completed in 2000 at the hospital DRK Klinikum Berlin-Westend. Since then, he has been specializing in regional anesthesia and postoperative pain management.



Martin Reiter has completed specialist training as an Emergency Physician and further optional training in "Specialist Anesthesiology in Intensive Care Medicine".

Christian Kirschke

After studying medicine at Heinrich Heine University, senior physician Christian Günter Kirschke began his further training in anesthesia and intensive care medicine at the Humboldt Clinic Berlin-Reinickendorf in 2002 and then switched to the Immanuel Klinikum Bernau Herzzentrum Brandenburg in August 2004. He has been a specialist in anesthesiology since June 2008.

He is a hygiene officer doctor and has the certificate of specialist qualification for rescue services. Since 2012, Mr. Kirschke has been the senior physician in the department.

Katrin Wernecke

Katrin Wernecke has worked at Immanuel Diakonie since 1993. Since April 2000 she has been the nursing division manager of the department of of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Management at the Immanuel Klinikum Bernau Herzzentrum Brandenburg.
